Captain Jim Batey's affidavit regarding Lee Spence's discovery of the Civil War submarine Hunley and Batey's 1970 dive on Hunley site with Ron Renau and Mike Douglas. Batey, who had his own diving business, acting with Spence's information and authorization, dove on the wreck of the Hunley within days after Spence found the Hunley.
